When you can live forever what do you live for?

Some might have seen the movie and some might have read the book series, anyway i'm not going to tell the story, you can find it all over the internet. I could give a copy paste but there was no resume that i liked, and this is not the issue of my post, so i'll skip this part. It's a good book,if you don't take into consideration the fact that vampires is a now a dull subject in literature. But i think that the role of the vampire is given by the question the book rises:"When you can live forever what do you live for?"
It's a good question: when you can live forever what do you live for?Love or money? Some choose love, some money.
The question isn't whether we can live forever, but rather how we live each day of our life. Do we give the best of us? Do we live life to the full? Do we have wishes unfulfilled, regrets? Do we take care of the others?
There is of course the opposite of the question when you have only one day to live how would you spent it?
